Bedminster NJ Back yard peruvian elopement

Sometimes I’m a good friend and sometimes I’m a little bossy. I’ve been elbows deep in Christmas photos for clients and was really happy I had an up and coming Saturday off. I found out between a mutual friend of me and Alfie, that Alfie and Mari were getting married the Saturday I had off. I called Alfie the next morning and wished him congratulations. I then ask did he have a wedding photographer, Alfie said no. They wanted to hire me or someone but it was really low budget and DIY and small. Bossy me interrupted and said this is the first Saturday in months I’m not booked, what is your address? I’m coming. There was no way I was going to let my good friend not have nice wedding photos if I wasn’t booked. Mari made the cake and Alfie mom who ironically is named Teresa Maria made delicious empanadas for everyone. The fog rolled in and made the weather a real pea-souper. It made the coolest spooky background for photos. Bedminster is a very old town and has a few places George Washington slept at there, and several people joked that George Washington’s ghost is going to crash this party through the fog on horse back. Sadly no cool ghost came, but all of Mari’s family was on the live stream the whole time. They had their own party across the world in summery Peru while we had ours in NJ. Everyone wore a mask and social distanced. Even though it was chilly out a whole night of bonfires, 80’s music, and tequila kept everyone warm and happy. Congratulations Mari and Alfie
