Frequently Asked Questions
What’s a mini session? ›
“Mini session” is a common term in photography which mean the photographer picks the time and location. Each photographer runs them a bit differently. With mine you are not required to buy all the images from the session. These are great for a christmas card or to update your family photos. After your session you will review your images you choose the package that fits you best.
How do we pick our photos from our mini session? ›
After your session we’ll meet on Zoom to review the images together and choose your favorites—easy to do from home on your computer.
How would you describe your style of photography? ›
I call my style relaxed natural light(-ish). I love using natural and available light, but if the light isn’t flattering,
I’ll use flash. I guide clients into natural poses that suit personality and body type.
Can you ensure that my images won’t be lost? ›
I use pro cameras with dual card slots and back up images to my computer and an external drive right away, then to cloud storage.
I never keep only one copy of your images.
Do you have insurance? ›
Yes—liability insurance up to $1,000,000. Many venues require it. If you need a certificate of insurance, let me know in advance.
How many proofs should I expect to see from my wedding? ›
Typically ~40–100 images per hour depending on the flow of the day. Action = more images; long meal/chatting = fewer images.
All photos are color balanced and processed for printing.
Do you do headshots, portraits, product, newborn, or other types of photography? ›
Yes. I shoot families, babies, weddings, headshots, and more. Contact me and we’ll plan something that fits your goals.
My venue is very dark. Can you handle that? ›
Yes. I use fast lenses (f/2.8 and wider) and off-camera lighting to cover any lighting situation—even a cave wedding.
How long does it take to get my wedding images? ›
I organize, hand-edit, and back up everything. Contractually delivered within one month; I always aim to deliver sooner.
How can we print our photos? ›
You’ll receive a personal online gallery to order professional prints and wall art shipped to your home. You can also download
files and print at a lab of your choice.
Do you use a second photographer? ›
Yes, available as an add-on. I recommend one for large weddings (250+ guests) or when you need extensive simultaneous coverage.
Can you hold a date for me? ›
Dates are first-come, first-served with signed contract + retainer. I’m happy to “pencil in” informally, but it isn’t guaranteed.
How far in advance should we book you? ›
Weddings: up to 18 months ahead. Family sessions: up to about 2 months ahead.
I don’t photograph well and I’m super awkward—can you help? ›
Totally. I don’t expect anyone to pose like a model. I guide you with simple, natural direction so you feel comfortable and look great.
