Family pictures do not need to feel like a production.

You do not need the perfect season, perfectly coordinated outfits, or kids who suddenly decide they love having their picture taken.

You just need everyone there.

I want to give you the photograph where everyone looks good and nobody important is missing because they were the one holding the phone. Then I want the rest of it too — the laughs, the different groupings, the kids being themselves, and the photographs that feel a little less like “picture day” and a little more like your actual family.

A mix of classic and candid family photos

I love bright color, natural skin tones, and photographs that still look like you.

We will get the more traditional family portraits, but your entire gallery is not going to be everyone standing in one spot staring at the camera.

We will move around. I will photograph different combinations of your family. Kids together, parents with each child, siblings, couples, individual portraits, and whatever makes sense for the people you bring.

Some pictures will be polished enough for the wall. Some will be the ones you send to everyone immediately because they are just so completely your family.

You get both.

Little kids are not the only ones worth photographing

It is easy to remember family pictures when your kids are babies because everything changes so quickly.

But then they are 10. Then 15. Then someone is away at college. Someone starts working weekends. Someone moves.

Suddenly getting everybody in the same place becomes harder than getting a toddler to look at the camera ever was.

Family photographs matter when your kids are older too. You do not need to wait until somebody gets married before you have another good picture of everyone together.

Where should we take family pictures in Linden?

Linden gives us a lot of options, and they do not all have to look the same.

The city has neighborhood parks throughout town, so if you want something easy and close to home, we can keep it simple. Linden also has Hawk Rise Sanctuary, a nature and wildlife area on Range Road, which gives us a completely different kind of setting when a more natural background makes sense. Linden NJ

I do not pick a location just because it has the word “park” in the name. I care about what it actually looks like around the week of your session, what the light is doing, how old your kids are, and how much walking makes sense for your family.

Your family does not have to photograph a certain way

Some kids want to run.

Some want to stay right next to Mom.

A teenager might be perfectly happy to give me twenty good minutes and be done.

Grandparents may not want to walk very far or sit on the ground.

That is all completely fine.

I work around the people who are actually in front of me instead of trying to force every family through the exact same session.

Your finished photographs

You will receive at least 50 professionally edited, full-resolution digital photographs with personal printing rights. Galleries are generally delivered in about one week.

Professional prints are available through your online gallery, but ordering them is completely optional. There is no required sales appointment afterward.

You can download your photographs, share them, print them, make an album, or do a little of everything.
