You probably have thousands of pictures of your family on your phone. What you may not have is one beautiful photograph of all of you. One where you love how you look, your kids look like themselves, and nobody important is behind the camera.

That is the picture I want to make for you.

Bright, colorful family photos can still be classic

I love bright color, natural skin tones, and pictures where people still look like themselves.

You’ll get the photos of everyone together, but that isn’t the whole session. We’ll do different groupings, the kids together and separately, each parent with the kids, and whatever combinations make sense for your family.

Some will be more traditional portraits. Some will be casual. And some of my favorites usually happen in between when everyone stops worrying about the camera.

Family photos are not only for little kids

There is no rule that says family pictures are something you stop doing once your kids aren’t little anymore.

Teenagers change. Kids leave for college. Adult children move out. Eventually getting everybody in the same place can require more scheduling than the actual photo session.

If everyone is home, take the picture.

And if grandparents live nearby, this is a really good excuse to include them too.

Where should we take family pictures in Scotch Plains?

Scotch Plains gives us a lot to work with, especially if you like a greener, more natural background.

Watchung Reservation is right there and can look completely different depending on the season. There are also parks, neighborhoods and more simple locations around Scotch Plains that work really well when you want the focus to stay on your family instead of having a huge landmark in the background.

I don’t pick locations from one permanent list because what looks good changes throughout the year. Tell me when you’re thinking about doing your session and what kind of setting you like, and I’ll give you some options.

Your finished photographs

You will receive at least 50 professionally edited, full-resolution digital photographs with personal printing rights. Galleries are generally delivered in about one week.

Professional prints are available through your online gallery, but ordering them is completely optional. There is no required sales appointment afterward.
