Colorful Orthodox Jewish wedding at Stonebridge in Long Island New York

Michelle and Charlie's wedding at Stonebridge country club in Smithtown NY, was a highlight of my summer 2022. It was warm and sunny Thursday in July. The whole theme was a big fun colorful jewish wedding.

They met when mutual friends said to Michelle “Oh you’re a nerdy Jewish teacher who is teaching in the Bronx - we know another one of those!” And introduced them. They met in November of 2019. Charlie proposed at the Met museum where Michelle used to teach art classes and where Michelle took Charlie to on our third date to give him a tour. They adopted a dog together and moved in together after a few short months! They LOVE being dog parents and have an iphone full of pictures of Percy being his natural adorable self.

Michelle had fun colorful rosegold hair and a big princess dress covered in sparkles. Charlie is wore a really beautiful tuxedo (his first one) and a pair of cufflinks that Michelle bought him. The bridesmaids wore mismatched blue gowns and the groomsmen wore black or grey suits. They’ve given Michelle and Charlie so much support and help during the whole time wedding planning. The most exciting part of the wedding was Percy being the ring bearer. He was around for some photo and was there to great them at the end of the isle as soon as they were a married couple .

Their first dance song was one of my own personal favorites as well-The rainbow connection from the Muppets. It was one of the first songs they listened to together while they stood in the kitchen of their old apartment and danced and sang along to. It was amazing the day of they didn’t do a cover but the original Muppets version with Kermit and Piggy.

The rest of the reception was a big crazy Jewish dance party, with only small breaks to eat so they and the guest had more dancing energy. The whole crowd tore up the dance floor and Michelle's sparkle dress shined like a diamond when she twirled around.
