Shakespeare Garden at Central Park NYC maternity session

I first met Krista and Nick when I photographed their wedding years ago. Since then, my work has shifted toward family photography, and Krista has followed my journey on Instagram. One day she sent me a message saying she loved my recent family sessions and wanted to schedule a photoshoot for her growing family. She and Nick have a daughter named Evangeline and another little girl on the way.

We decided on Central Park for their session. As I was walking through the park that morning, I noticed the Shakespeare Garden was in full bloom. The week before, New York City had record rainfall, and the flowers were larger and more vibrant than usual. I knew immediately that it would be the perfect location for their portraits, especially with the sweet sister theme we had planned.

The session was filled with laughter and play. I love working with children because I can be silly and make them giggle, which always leads to genuine smiles in photos. We explored the garden, stopping among the colorful flowers and winding paths, capturing moments that reflected both the joy of the moment and the beauty of the location.

It was a wonderful experience photographing this chapter in Krista and Nick’s life. Shakespeare Garden in Central Park is such a special spot for family photography in New York City, and it was the perfect backdrop for celebrating their growing family.
