I photographed the SWEP Greater Philadelphia thirtieth anniversary gala and saw how much this organization has grown since its start in 1995. The Society of Women Environmental Professionals is a respected network of women working in environmental science, engineering, law, policy, and business. SWEP offers education, mentoring, leadership programs, community service, and professional development for women across the region. Their membership includes consultants, regulators, attorneys, engineers, scientists, and students who believe in supporting each other and strengthening the environmental community in Greater Philadelphia.
The gala brought all of this to life. The room was full of members who have helped shape the organization for thirty years. I focused on the real moments that show the heart of SWEP. Warm conversations, genuine connection, and pride in the work they continue to do.
